Nors Islandija ir nėra Europos Sąjungos narė, valstybė yra Europos ekonominės erdvės nare, kas reiškia, jog nuo 2004 m. gegužės 1 d. Baltijos valstybių piliečiai gali vykti ir būti iki 3 mėnesių Islandijoje pasiėmę tik pasą ar asmens tapatybės kortelę – vizos į šalį nebereikia.
Suomijoje teisė dirbti apmokamą darbą suteikiama jūsų pilietybės pagrindu. Europos Sąjungos piliečiai Suomijoje gali dirbti be atskiro leidimo nuolatos gyventi dirbančiajam. Ši išimtis taip pat taikoma Norvegijos, Islandijos, Lichtenšteino ir Šveicarijos piliečiams.
Baltijos piliečiams gali būti Danijoje be vizos iki 3 mėnesių. Jei ieškote darbo, Danijoje galite būti iki 6 mėnesių.
Baltijos šalių piliečiams nereikia Norvegijos vizos. Trečiųjų šalių piliečiai ar neturintys pilietybės asmenys (prieglobsčio prašytojai) taip pat gali prašyti nuolatinio ar laikinojo gyvenimo šalyje leidimų. Svarbu turėti galiojantį kelionės dokumentą ir leidimo gyventi leidimus. Pagal Šengeno reikalavimus, jums leidžiama praleisti 90 dienų per šešis mėnesius Norvegijoje be reikalavimo registruotis.
Europos Sąjungos piliečiams ir jų šeimos nariams nereikia gauti nuolatinio leidimo gyventi Švedijoje. Tačiau būtina registruotis.
Jei norėtumėte studijuoti Islandijoje, universitetinis mokslas valstybiniuose universitetuose yra nemokamas. Tačiau privačiose mokslo įstaigose mokslas gali būti mokamas.
Mokslas Suomijos universitetuose ir politechnikumuose yra nemokamas!
Europos Sąjungos piliečiai, kaip ir vietiniai danai, turi mokėti registracijos mokesčius. Kai kurios aukštojo mokslo įstaigos Danijoje pačios apmoka tam tikras programas užsienio studentams.
Nepaisant to, kad mokslas auštosiose Norvegijos mokyklose nemokamas, būkite pasirengęs didelėms kasdienėms išlaidoms. Taip pat svarbu žinoti, kad bus daug lengviau gauti stipendiją, jei esate Estijos universiteto studentas.
Švedijoje mokslas nemokamas, tačiau studentai turi mokėti už studentų narystę ir įsigyti mokymosi priemones. Studijų aukštojoje mokykloje pradžioje Švedijoje, studijuojantysis negauna paramos, vadinamosios CSN, o jei esate ES/EEA pilietis, galite po dviejų metų prašyti valstybės paramos.
Važiuojant į Islandiją reikės užsiregistruoti Islandijos migracijos tarnyboje tam, kad gautumėte leidimą nuolatos gyventi. Pagal EEE sutarties sąlygas dėl laisvo darbo jėgos judėjimo tarp Europos ekonominės erdvės valstybių (EEE), galima sudaryti darbo sutartis dar neturint leidimo dirbti. Tačiau šios taisyklės piliečiams ne iš EEE valstybių yra griežtesnės, nes šiuo atveju reikalaujama ne tik turėti leidimą nuolatos gyventi, tačiau ir darbo leidimą dar prieš atvykstant į Islandiją.
Suomijoje norinčiam įsidarbinti užsieniečiui reikės leidimo nuolatos gyventi su teise dirbti. Asmuo, kuris pats turi savo verslą ar dirba kaip laisvai samdomas specialistas Suomijoje turi turėti leidimą nuolatos gyventi ir užsiregistruoti kaip savarankiškai dirbantis. Tačiau šiai taisyklei taikoma daug išimčių.
Leidimas gyventi studentui šalyje nesuteikia teisės dirbti Norvegijoje. Tačiau studentai gali lengvai gauti darbo ne visu užimtumu leidimą ir (arba) leidimą dirbti atostogų tarp studijų metu jei tai netrukdo mokymuisi. Galima bandyti gauti darbo leidimą ir pilnai darbo dienai tam tikram ribotam laikotarpiui.
Jei norite gyventi ilgesnį laiką ir dirbti Danijoje, reikės gauti leidimą nuolatos gyventi šalyje.

Tai labai geras būdas lavinti savo sugebėjimus, ypač keičiant profesiją arba siekiant patobulinti/išmokti islandų kalbos.
Šiuo metu šalyje yra aštuonios aukštojo mokslo institucijos. Dauguma šių institucijų yra valstybinės. Privačios institucijos, kurios remiamos valstybės, yra trys. Aukštojo mokslo institucijos šalyje skiriasi pagal mokslinio tiriamojo darbo laipsnį ir siūlomas studijų programas. Valstybiniuose universitetuose mokslas yra nemokamas, nors gali būti atvejų, kada gali tekti mokėti už stojimo procedūras.
Baigus pagrindinio mokymosi Islandijoje metus, t.y. 1-9, galite pasirinkti specializuotą profesinio mokymo programą aukštesnės pakopos vidurinėje mokykloje. Islandijoje aukštesnės pakopos vidurinis mokslas nemokamas, tačiau reikia mokėti už knygas ir mokymo priemones. Visi dalykai dėstomi islandų kalba.
Islandijos švietimas iš esmės suskirstytas į du lygius – privalomąjį ir neprivalomąjį. Mokslai privalomi visiems vaikams nuo 6 iki16 metų. Mokslo metai prasideda rugpjūčio 21 – rugsėjo 1 dienomis ir baigiasi gegužės 31 – birželio 10 dienomis. Mokykloje mokoma 5 dienas per savaitę. Mokslo metai suskirstyti į du semestrus – pavasarinį ir rudeninį. Dėl to, kad Islandija retai apgyvendinta, vaikams dažnai tenka gyventi mokyklos bendrabučiuose arba važinėti į mokyklą autobusu didelius atstumus.
Aukštosios liaudies mokyklos – tai švietimo institucijos, kurios siūlo didelę suaugusiųjų švietimo pasirinktį. Kaip ir tradicinės mokyklos, liaudies mokyklos puoselėja bendruomenės suvokimą, kas sudaro esminę visapusiško mokymosi dalį ir funkcionuoja kaip švietimo proceso pagrindas. Šiuos kursus gali lankyti visi norintys nepriklausomai nuo amžiaus, profesijos ar išsilavinimo. Suaugusiųjų švietimo centrai skatina kultūrinę ir edukacinę lygybę siūlydami galimybes visiems išmokti pilietiškumo įgūdžių ir vystyti savo asmenybę.
Šiuo metu vystomos struktūros pagal Bolonės deklaraciją ir nauja dviejų ciklų bakalauro-magistro struktūra tampa dominuojančiu modeliu. Ši dviejų ciklų bakalauro ir magistro sistema buvo patvirtinta visuose Suomijos universitetuose 2005 m rugpjūtį, išskyrus medicinos ir stomatologijos studijas. Tuo pat metu Suomijos studijų kreditų sistemą pakeitė Europos ECTS kreditų sistema.
Profesines studijas siūlo vadinamieji politechnikumai (taikomųjų mokslų universitetai), kurie orientuoti į labiau praktines žinias, nei tradiciniai universitetai. Bakalauro studijų programos trunka apie ketverius metus.
Vidurinio ir aukštesniojo mokslo studijos orientuotos į aukšto lygio bendrąjį išsilavinimą ir užtikrina studentams žinias tolesnėms studijoms (t.y. universitetinėms, profesinėms ir pan). Žmonės dažniausiai bando siekti aukštojo mokslo pabaigę vidurinę mokyklą, tačiau vyresni gali taip pat siekti aukštojo mokslo. Dažniausia aukštojo mokslo studijų trukmė yra trys metai, tačiau galima pasirinkti ir tik vieno kurso studijas.
Kaip ir kitos Šiaurės šalys, Danija taip pat garsi savo labai gerai išvystyta švietimo sistema mokymuisi visam gyvenimui. Mokyklos keitėsi ir vystėsi, tačiau pagrindinis dalykas - kultūrinis ir socialinis bendravimas nepasikeitė. „Liaudies kursai“ trunka nuo 6 iki 12 mėnesių, tačiau yra ir trumpesnių kursų.
Danijos aukštojo mokslo sistema garsi novatorišku mokymo požiūriu ir aukštais tarptautiniais standartais. Danijos aukštojo mokslo institucijos siūlo dinamišką studijų atmosferą ir daug dėmesio skiriama nepriklausomam mokymuisi, iniciatyvoms ir į projektus orientuotam mokymuisi.
Danijos profesinis švietimas yra labai įvairus. Jis ypatingas ir praktinių mokymų periodu. Norvegijos universitetai ir aukštosios mokyklos siūlo didelę programų pasirinktį užsienio studentams. Šios pasirinkties populiarumą įrodo didelis studentų skaičius – Norvegijos aukštojo mokslo įstaigose mokosi net apie 12 000 užsienio piliečių. Užsienio studentai gali studijuoti tiek pagrindinėse, tiek mokslinėse programose akademiniam darbui tęsti. Į Norvegiją galite atvykti kaip studentas per esamas studentų mainų programas, pagal sutartis tarp institucijų arba kaip „nepriklausomas studentas“, kada viską susitvarkote patys (studijų tipą, trukmę ir finansavimą).
Pirmasis PŠM etapas Norvegijoje – žemesnysis vidurinio išsilavinimo lygis pagal „Elective“ programos dalykus („utdanningsvalg“). Tai 13-15 metų besimokantiesiems suteikia galimybę išbandyti dalykus iš įvairių aukštesniojo vidurinio mokslo programų, įskaitant PŠM.
Visi 16-19 metų šios šalies piliečiai turi teisę į aukščiausios pakopos vidurinį išsilavinimą ir išsimokslinimą. Mokiniams čia reikia pasirinkti arba profesinio ugdymo, arba bendrojo ugdymo mokymosi programas. Šie mokslai ir šis mokymas vidutiniškai trunka tris metus ir yra padalintas į tris lygius: Vg1, Vg2 ir Vg3 (tam tikrais atvejais – būna ir Vg4). During the summer, a lot of the universities and folk high schools offer a variety of summer courses.
In all the Nordic countries, there are summer courses both in the local language and in English so there is an interest to have participating foreign exchange students.

In order to obtain the neccessary application forms and information about the application deadlines you will have to contact each university or university college. In general the application deadline for foreign students is between January 15 to March 15 for courses starting the following autumn (August). Please note that some institutions have separate "pre-qualification" deadlines that are earlier than this.
In general, institutions evaluate degrees on an individual basis. If the transcript is not in English, you may need to have it translated first, however.

Industry has a raising need for simulation engineers to improve and develop industrial manufacturing methods. The robotic programme is a programme that provides students with an in-depth knowledge of autonomous systems, robot simulation and mathematical modelling within this particular field. Students are provided with access to a large, well equipped industrial robotics laboratory as well as to the University’s simulation lab.
